My carear  spans a variety of areas within Social Work and  the broader helping professsions.  I have a background ranging from working in  HIV/ AIDS in the early stages of the pandemic, corporate Employee Assistance and general clinical practice .

 

I focus on personal development and life improvement to build the personal self as a happy, functional and balanced person.  In terms of Social Work I am a specialist Occupational Social Worker, and do not work in the more traditional areas associated with Social Work practice.

 

I founded this practice to provide a specialised service to the LGBTQI+ community, both as an area of interest as well as having identified the need for this type of service through communication with others. As members of the South African LGBTQI+ community we still live in a society where the lifestyle presents many difficulties even though it has been legalised.  

 

As LGBTQI+ we can can often live with internalised self hate, having a sense of difference and with attached self negativity.  I aim  to assist persons develope self love, self acceptance and embrace themselves fully,  so as to grow and develope as a person.
